CRAWLERS @ LIVERPOOL’S O2
CRAWLERS
LIVERPOOL’S O2 ACADEMY
GIG REVIEW
WITH SUPPORT FROM GENERATION AND UNINVITED
12/11/22
Touring the UK, Alt-rock Liverpool band ‘CRAWLERS‘ stopped in to play a hometown gig playing a sold-out show at the O2 Academy, which we knew was gonna be a special energetic night. With not seeing the CRAWLERS live before I didn’t know what to expect but after hearing good things about their live performances I was excited to see them play live and capture the night.
As I got to the venue and picked up my photo pass at the box office I turned the corner to queue up and there was already a long line of people waiting to go in, seeing all the fans excited and talking about the band, you could tell just how much their music and them as a band means to their fans.

First up on the night was the Liverpool-formed band ‘Generation‘.
Before these guys hit the stage I remember seeing the venue already packed right past the sound desk at the back and it made me so happy to see so many people come to the gig early on to see the earlier bands and support them. It’s how going to a gig should be really, checking out the other bands and just supporting bands in general. Not a lot of people rush to gigs these days to see support bands.
They came on stage with high energy and got the crowd moving and hyped from an early stage. They had their own unique style to them, not only with their music but with the way they dressed, they reminded me of the Italian band ‘Måneskin‘! I remember watching the lead singer and seeing him run and jump about on stage with high-knee black boots, thinking how awesome he is playing on stage in heels because I can’t even walk in heels! This band already have a huge following on social media but I have a feeling with the way they are going they will be ones to look out for in future.
At this point, the venue was getting warm very quickly and you could see the security guards handing out water to the people in the crowd. I feel like people don’t talk about the security enough, to say how much of a good job they do making sure everyone is having a good time but also making sure everyone is safe too.

Next up was the main support band ‘Uninvited‘ who are out on tour with CRAWLERS.
These girls really know how to get a crowd going from their stage presence and energy. From the minute they came on stage the crowd was already cheering away and excited to see them. They defiantly have something special about them. Their music kinda reminded me of the ‘Nova Twins‘, like an indie rock kinda vibe. If you get the chance, I recommend giving these girls a listen, once again another girl group showing up and rocking the music industry.
And finally, we have the headliners, ‘CRAWLERS‘. Sitting in the photo pit waiting patiently you could feel the hype from the crowd and how excited they were, cheering with every little thing the CRAWLERS tour crew were doing on stage setting up the gear for the band. It got very loud before they came on stage you could tell it was gonna be an amazing gig.
My ears were still ringing from the noise the crowd made when they did come on stage, you can tell just how much they are loved by their fans and its was something quite special. They came on stage roaring with energy jumping and running about, opening the set with their song “Too Soon“. The minute the lead singer Holly started singing and I was blown away by how powerful her voice was, that girl can really sing!
In between songs holly was talking to the crowd about how unreal it is to play the O2 academy, Liverpool, after walking past it every day while she was a student and thinking about what it would be like to play it. But not only did she make that happen, but she was also playing to a sold-out show as well! It just shows how much hard work they have put into the band to make that happen and you can’t help but feel so happy for them to make it this far and just from their high energy you can tell this band really means business and are gonna go far in the music industry, possibly playing arena shows and getting on main stages at festivals.

Once the gig came to an end I remember seeing a load of people queuing outside to meet and see the band, I can only imagine that the whole night felt so heartwarming and special for them, getting all the love and support they deserve.
The CRAWLERS are defiantly ones to keep an eye on for sure and if you get the chance to see them live I recommend you see them, purely because you can see just how much playing live shows and their fans mean to all of them. I don’t think they stopped smiling throughout their entire set.
