‘DYLAN JOHN THOMAS’
HAS JUST WON THE BREAKTHROUGH ARTIST AWARD AT
THE SCOTTISH MUSIC AWARDS
ON 5TH NOVEMBER 2022
HIS BIGGEST SOLD-OUT HEADLINE TOUR TO DATE STARTS THIS MONTH – INCLUDES TWO NIGHTS AT THE BARROWLANDS
It’s been a remarkable few days for ‘Dylan John Thomas‘. On the 5th of November, he released his eagerly anticipated second EP, ‘Dylan John Thomas – EP2’, a set which amplified the acclaim and airplay that greeted last year’s self-titled debut. And on Saturday night he stepped up at the ‘Scottish Music Awards‘ to receive the Dean Banks & Mond Vodka Breakthrough Artist Award, where he performed “Fever” and “What I Need“. He follows in the footsteps of previous winners of the award, who have included Lewis Capaldi, Paolo Nutini and The Snuts.
‘Dylan John Thomas – EP2’ provides ample evidence as to why Dylan is inspiring such praise. It was previewed by the tracks ‘Fever’, “If I Didn’t Laugh” and “What a Shame“, which collectively earned support from Radio 1, BBC Introducing, 6 Music and Radio X. The EP is completed by two brand new songs: “Now and Then”, an introspective reflection on how childhood grief returns in unexpected waves years down the line, and the atmospheric opening instrumental “Battle of Alesia“.

In addition to its digital release, the EP is also available on limited edition 12” translucent vinyl HERE.
Dylan’s year has been defined by the intense reaction he inspires at his live shows, with huge pints-in-the-air singalongs during almost every song. Landmark moments of 2022 have included his Glastonbury debut, his first sold-out show at Glasgow’s Barrowland Ballroom in April, and the main stage set at TRNSMT. Appropriately enough, Dylan now ends the year with his biggest headline tour to date, which culminates with two nights at the Barrowlands. Eight of the ten shows sold-out more than three months in advance, but limited tickets are available HERE for the shows in Newcastle and London.
