Hushtones: Live at St Brides Church
Hushtones: Live at St Brides
Hushtones are set to take over Liverpool’s Georgian Quarter as they host their first ever live-recorded headline show on 16th September 2022.
The five-piece Liverpool band – who have recently released their latest and much-anticipated single, Stranger – will be playing against the dramatic, temple-like backdrop of St Brides Church, Catherine Street. The space will be transformed into a spectacular gig venue with the seats pulled out and bar installed for one night only.
Hushtones are one of Liverpool’s hottest live acts, characterised by their nostalgic feels, soaring melodies and trademark blend of female and male harmonies. Their dreamy signature take on indie-pop music takes you on a melodic journey, with inspiration from the likes of Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, Blondie and Sunflower Bean.
Fronted by song-writing powerhouse Martha Goddard and Mick Campbell, alongside Caitlin McPaul on bass and backing vocals, Joe Dillon on guitar and backing vocals, and Abraham Tesfachristos on drums, the group initially formed in 2016, and have since developed a diverse discography that never fails to showcase their unmistakable, attention-grabbing sound.
Last year saw the release of their debut album, Greetings From The Other Side, which was written and recorded in and around national lockdowns, and was met with much critical acclaim.
Now, Hushtones are performing the album in its entirety at St Brides in their first ever live-recorded show, alongside a host of new and previously unheard music. The band are also giving the opportunity for the first 50 ticket holders to have their name featured on the album artwork, giving gig-goers the exclusive chance to become a part of Liverpool’s living and breathing music history.
Hushtones will be joined by
“We are THRILLED to be able to play our music in such an iconic space”, says Martha.
“We have never recorded our music live before so we’re excited to see how the atmosphere of the crowd will influence our sound. We love the fact that our fans will be involved in this. We want you all to come along and have a dance and a sing with us”
