keyside Set To Release Debut Single
New and upcoming band, ‘Keyside’ are set to release their debut single
“Lights Out” on the 4th of November
When listening to bands, you can almost pinpoint their inspirations behind the sound they have created. With the new Liverpool band ‘Keyside‘, their sound is unlike anything I have come across. With small hints to bands such as Kasabian and The Police, the band has such an evasive sound that they immediately pull you in. Recording the debut single in the prestigious Motor Museum studio, the band quickly found their sound, along with producer Ben Harper who is also working on the band’s second single.
“Lights Out” is the debut single from Keyside, coming out on the 4th of November. The band is fronted by Dan Parker who is the songwriter, trying to paint a picture of modern-day life with his lyrics. This song can be interpreted in many ways, it can be suggested “Lights Out” is referring to the walls caving in and someone feeling trapped by the stresses of society, or it could mean something entirely different, that’s the beauty of this song. With a constant bass and guitar riff playing throughout, it’s immediately catchy and sticks in your head all day.
You can catch Keyisde at their debut headline on the 2nd of December in the Kazimier Stockroom, which sold out in less than ten hours. For a band that has no music out yet, this is an incredible achievement. If you haven’t heard about Keyside, get to know.
