SLEEPER ANNOUNCE UK TOUR
SLEEPER ANNOUNCE UK TOUR CELEBRATING 25 YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF “THE IT GIRL”
Sleeper’s platinum selling album “The It Girl” is a stone cold classic. Produced by Stephen Street, it was released in May 1996 and reached number 5 in the UK chart. The album is characterised by stand-out, sing-along melodies and Wener’s trademark lyrical wit. What Do I Do Now, Sale of The Century, and Nice Guy Eddie were all defining singles of the Britpop era.
“We’re excited to be celebrating 25 years of The It Girl by performing the album in full. We have such great memories of touring this album in the 90s. These songs took us all over the world and sound-tracked an incredible period in our lives. It’s an album full of energy and optimism and we plan on making these gigs something special. When we went back to touring in 2017 one of the highlights was playing with bands like The Lottery Winners. We know our fans love this band and we think it’s going to be an incredible bill.”
