YUNGBLUD LIFE ON MARS TOUR LIVERPOOL!
Dominic Richard Harrison, better known to you and me as YUNGBLUD, arrived in Liverpool for his highly anticipated sold out shows at Liverpool’s Mountford Hall. Arguably one of the most exciting new artists to emerge on the scene over the last few years, YUNGBLUD exudes energy and passion, he really loves what he does and his fans love him all the more for that.
The tension was mounting throughout the evening, the crowd eager and almost desperate for a glimpse of the man of the hour. Providing the support with a surprise set was Stone and Renforshort who warmed up the growing crowd. The venue was as busy as it has ever been and the love for YUNGBLUD was clear to see in the room with adults and even some younger people dressed like the star. The scene was set with a large, black curtain adorning the stage and smoke filtering through the room. In a flash, the curtain was dropped to reveal YUNGBLUD as he launched into his energetic, heart-racing set.
One thing that sets YUNGBLUD apart from other performers is how interactive he is with a crowd. The magnitude of the gigs he performs and the amount of attendees is not lost on him and throughout his set, he was constantly interacting with and even kissing the staff and photographers. It takes a special type of artist to really unite an audience of that size in a shared experience. Furthermore, he also made sure to check on the welfare of the fans throughout the performance, encouraging everyone to stay hydrated. What may seem like a small gesture to an outsider is one that shows he is grounded and wants everyone in attendance to enjoy their time at his show.

His set was littered with some of his most loved songs such as Parents, ‘I Think I’m OKAY‘ his collab with Machine Gun Kelly and Blink 182s Travis Barker!, and The Freak Show. However, the biggest reaction of the evening wasn’t to any of his original songs but for his mesmerising cover and own version of ‘Life On Mars‘ by the late, great David Bowie which had the crowd singing their hearts out, Yungbluds version is reportedly about a young transgender woman and her struggles with being accepted for who she truly is. The cover of the hit track was even played earlier this year when NASA deployed their Perseverance Rover on Mars meaning that he is quite literally out of this world!
YUNGBLUD really is a man of the people, his sets are warm and inviting whilst also being exciting and electrifying. His meteoric rise to fame over the past few years is well deserved and with a slew of hit records to his name and an ever growing fanbase, there is no stopping him now, EXPECT ARENA SHOWS!
